DATA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Mission: Provide distinguished mentorship opportunities to make data careers accessible to all.
This two-month mentorship program is designed for anyone who is interested in launching their career in data or working to grow in their current data jobs. As a mentee, you will network with a professional who can guide you to achieve your goals. As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to give back to society and promote a more inclusive data culture.
WHAT IS DATA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?
With a growing data demand, it is important to equip the younger generation to be successful in the data industry. Data Mentorship Program aims to build an inclusive community of leaders and experts who are able to share their learnings and uplift others in the community.
This program is designed for those that might not have access to any form of mentorship and for those that are looking to give back to the community.
Reflections from founder Rajvi Mehta
Data Mentorship Program started with a simple thought - I wanted everyone in the data community to benefit from mentorship. I have had mentors at various stages of my life - starting at the age of 18. Mentors have shaped my career, encouraged me when I needed it, and also vouched for me. I am sure you have a similar story or you can think of a specific person (or two) who has shaped your career. Data Mentorship Program is my way of thanking my mentors and giving back to Philadelphia.
Mentors provide us with opportunities, endorse us, and develop our strengths while helping us identify and work on our weaknesses. Having a mentee also improves our leadership skills and gives us a fresh perspective. This program will work as a free resource for mentors and mentees to utilize, in turn increasing the number of professional opportunities for young talent.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM DESIGN?
Launching in the second quarter of 2021, this program follows a 1:1 mentorship approach. You will be assigned only 1 mentor/mentee for the time period.
WHAT IS THE SIGN UP PROCESS?
You can click on the Register button and fill out our registration form where you will have the option to either be a mentor or a mentee. After which, we will match you to your mentor/mentee.
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
In this program, we expect you and your mentor/mentee to at least spend 45 minutes every two weeks for 2 months together. If you are interested in spending more than 45 minutes with your mentee, we absolutely welcome that. But to be a part of this program, you will be required to commit at least 45 minutes every other week.
WHO WILL BE MY MENTOR/MENTEE?
We are committed to providing top-quality mentorship to all our program candidates. Our mentors will be experienced professionals who are working in data. Our mentees will be students or new hires who are looking to climb the ladder.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THIS PROGRAM?
This program is free of cost for everyone.
WHAT OTHER SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Apart from 1:1 mentorship, we will be hosting monthly events for our program participants. Networking is an important part of this program, we will host networking events, provide educational resources, and provide a list of open jobs.
WHAT IF I DO NOT GET A PERSONAL MENTOR?
We are committed to providing you the mentorship experience that YOU need. We have an in-house mentor who will be able to guide you, answer your questions, and provide the experience of a personal mentor - all free of cost.
